• Procurement of construction material – identifies and locates the relevant materials required.
• The Purchasing Manager should also be able to forecast levels of demand for specific materials and set out to meet these levels.
• Negotiate the best possible terms and conditions with suppliers; such terms may include payment terms, delivery conditions etc.
• Vendor control – liaise with the suppliers to check stock availability and ensure the quality of goods delivered.
• Keep an inventory of goods that have been ordered/delivered
• Coordinate activities with Lead Buyer in order to ensure alignment of objectives and to increase efficiency.
• Working knowledge of logistics and customs processing is an advantage
• Proficiency in FIDIC Rules, Standards, able to read and understand construction drawings.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field required.
• At least 10 years’ experience purchasing experience in the contracting / civil engineering sector.
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Hokkien and English is an advantage
• Overseas working experience in Construction firm will be highly preferred
• Work experience at $50 Million and above of Annual Revenue Company
• Experience working in a large multinational civil contractor or large scale real estate development firm
• High degree of proficiency in cost saving initiatives, bidding implementation and process flow.
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Chinese Malaysians or Chinese Speaking Foreigners are preferred
• Be willing to be stationed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
